Focus. Depth. Mastery.

Waterford Ridge School

A rigorous academic program designed for depth, focus, and advanced learning.  (K-Grade 2)

Waterford Ridge School

Waterford Ridge School provides a calm, structured environment where students engage deeply, build independence, and develop strong academic foundations. Instruction is individualized, allowing children to progress as they demonstrate readiness.

Many students advance at an accelerated pace, often working at or above typical grade-level expectations within a mixed-age classroom that removes traditional limits. Our small, focused program emphasizes sustained work in reading, writing, mathematics, and inquiry, supported by enrichment experiences such as violin, chess, art, and introductory Mandarin. This is our primary cohort, serving K-2nd grade.

We also offer a small Montessori and outdoor-based program for early childhood.

Small Intentional Cohorts

A carefully composed community of students and families aligned with high expectations for focus, engagement, and learning, with one cohesive cohort for Early Childhood and one for Elementary.

Subject-Based Instruction

Students move between dedicated learning environments, allowing for focused instruction and greater depth across disciplines.

High Academic Expectations

Students are expected to engage in sustained work, think critically, and take increasing responsibility for their learning.

Depth of Design

The program prioritizes sustained concentration, creativity, and meaningful work over a broad rotation of activities.

Instruction is provided in a small-group setting with consistent guidance, supporting thoughtful learning and clear academic expectations.

In addition to core academics, students participate in enrichment experiences such as music, chess, language, and the arts, providing opportunities for creativity, exploration, and skill development within the school day.
